This research is dedicated to a systematic analysis of gender-based hate speech, stereotypes, and discriminatory narratives targeting women in Azerbaijani media and social media. The report examines the impact of gender-based language, sexist rhetoric, and media-formed stereotypes on public consciousness and gender equality, as well as the role of media ethics and public oversight.
The research was carried out by the Gender & Media Watch in cooperation with Text Media and Monitoring Center, and the Kitabistan Research Center. The report was prepared by the founder and director of Gender & Media Watch, Malak Hajiyeva, and the head of the monitoring team at Gender & Media Watch, founder of the Text Media and Monitoring Center, Kamran Hasanli.
